Kahlua is one of those souls who leaves a quiet imprint on your heart. Alongside her sisters, Bailey and Malibu, she arrived at Paradise Rescue Kennels as a young pup nearly seven years ago. While three of her siblings were adopted, Kahlua and her sisters were somehow left behind—something none of us can understand. They grew up in the kennels, but it’s long past time they grew into the loving homes they’ve always deserved.

Kahlua is the most reserved of the trio, a little more thoughtful and observant, but every bit as affectionate and kind. She might take a moment to warm up, but once she knows you, she’ll greet you with something truly special—a soft, soulful “wooo woooo” that’s part song, part smile, and all heart. It’s not a howl, not quite a bark, but a beautiful little tune that makes even the hardest days brighter.

Despite never having lived in a home, Kahlua is confident around people and has a calm, loving presence. She’s a cuddle bug like her sisters and adores attention once she feels safe. With a little patience and love, she will blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion. She would thrive with someone who can gently guide her through new experiences and give her the time and space to discover the world outside the kennel.

Kahlua, Bailey, and Malibu are strong girls who may need someone with experience of larger breeds, but more than anything, they need someone with a big heart—someone who can see past their time in the kennels and offer them the second chance they’ve waited for all these years.
