Meet Paddy – a stunning Lurcher boy and a real favourite among the volunteers at Paradise Rescue Kennels. At almost 3 years old, Paddy is still very young, but his life until now hasn’t been an easy one. He was surrendered by a hunter who deemed him “no good” – likely because Paddy is far too gentle and calm for the harsh life he was expected to lead. Now, he’s looking for the loving home he truly deserves.

Although not currently housed in the main kennels, Paddy has still managed to charm everyone who’s spent time with him. He is calm, friendly, affectionate, and laid-back – a true gentleman. There isn’t a single bad bone in this boy’s body. He formed a close bond with Charlie, a large Podenco who recently found his forever home. The two were best friends and among the best-behaved dogs at the rescue. It’s clear that Paddy misses his companion, and it’s now his turn to find a happy ending too.

Physically, Paddy is in good condition despite his past. He’s a little underweight, but he’s gaining strength each day. His long Lurcher coat is absolutely beautiful, and his distinctive facial hair gives him the charming appearance of wearing Elton John-style glasses – he’s truly one of a kind.

Paddy walks wonderfully on the lead, gets along well with other dogs, and is very people-friendly. He’s the perfect blend of size and softness – a big dog with an even bigger heart.
