For several years, the Post Room in BenijΓ³far has been a collection point for donations of blankets, towels, newspapers and things to sell in our shop. Itβs been so valuable to us in keeping the kennels going.
Before Mary-Ann retired, she used to call in at the Post Room to collect everything, then run it through to us. Today we discovered that thereβs a mountain of donations there that have not only filled the back room that stores our things but itβs well and truly spread into the shop making it very difficult for Bonnie and Colin to operate their business.
Colleen is so busy in the kennels, Vets etc that to take this on as well is nigh on impossible, so hereβs my plan.
If the donations were collected say for example, every two weeks and if four people volunteered to do it, then each would only give up a morning once every 8 weeks. All that would be needed is to fill their car with the donations, drive over to Paradise (30-40 mins), pop everything into the kennels or outside the gate if Colleen has nipped out, then job done, you can nip to the best cafe in the whole of Alicante in La Murada and all this can be done in a morning.
Itβs really important that we can get this off the ground as the Post Room is a vital link in the Paradise chain and we donβt want to lose it.
If more than four people come forward, even better as youβd be doing it even less frequently. So is there anyone out there whoβd like a little ride out to Paradise, we would be so grateful. Please pop your names below.
